Where in the World is Richard Rice?

Conservation Officer for Save Your World
Richard Rice travels the world to promote conservation agreements

Dick left for Vientiane, Laos on Saturday and arrived Monday, traveling half-way around the world to attend a workshop sponsored by the Blue Moon Fund and the Global Environment Institute (a Beijing based conservation group). He will be presenting at this work shop "Opportunities for Promoting Conservation Agreements in Lao PDR." Participants of this group are primarily from the SE Asia Region.

Day 1 of his trip is depicted below:

From Dick:

"Vientiane is a charming little city on the Mekong River with lots of durian (the world's smelliest fruit, but people seem to like it). The locals make jewelry in the market as you can see someone here making jewelry right where they sell it. The local mode of transportation are these little motorcycle taxis called tuk-tuks which are a lot of fun to ride around in. Silk scarves can be found everywhere you look and are available in almost every brilliant color and design imaginable."
